From November 24th to November 26th, the International Seminar took place at Teikyo University in Tokyo. This year, approximately 130 participants from over 30 nations attended. We reflect on three intense yet instructive days. The focus this year was on the Shotokan Katas. Nevertheless, Kagawa Shihan emphasized the importance of Kihon to build a strong foundation for Kata and Kumite.

Various examinations took place in between. At this point, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Markus Sensei for achieving the 6th Dan, Luca for the 5th Dan, and Remo for obtaining the Examiner C. This is crucial for our association, strengthening our position both nationally and internationally, and propelling us another step forward.

The International Seminar 2023 ended all too quickly, but we are already looking forward to the next significant event in Japan: the 6th JKS World Championship in July. We are excited and will train hard for this championship.
